Resplendent Dreams: A First Friday Rococo Revelation

What an incredible indulgence for my First Friday!

Stepping into "Resplendent Dreams: Reawakening the Rococo", the newest exhibit to open at Newfields, was like entering a vibrant dialogue between centuries!

The way these three contemporary queer artists, Diego Montoya, Robert Horvath, and Anthony Sonnenberg have channeled the essence of Rococo into their modern pieces is simply EXQUISITE. It's a beautiful, vivid reminder that artistic movements aren't just relics of the past, but fertile ground for new interpretations.

Gowns by Diego Monotya.

This gown by Montoya was worn by Blair St. Clair!

Beyond the canvases, I'm now inspired to incorporate some Rococo-inspired elements into my own wardrobe and home decor!

I love this immersive walk-in space by artist Robert Horvath.

Epernge with Candelabra and Vases by Anthony Sonnenberg.

And thanks to this exhibit, I've found my new favorite word: RESPLENDENT! I'm feeling so creatively energized, and I truly encourage you to visit this exhibit—you might find yourself just as inspired!
